PLC... PLN... or Learning Society ?
I often get confused what to call the group of educators that help me everyday... whether it be in my building, district, nation, or world. Technology has given us a whole new gift. I am not sure if we are to call them Personal Learning Communities, Professional Learning Communities, Personal Learning Networks, or Professional Learning Networks. I guess it doesn't matter. Our goal in the end is to be involved in the process as we create a Learning Society for all.
Now that we have cleared the definition it is time to become engaged in an exciting new/continuing venture. Isn't social interaction wonderful? How can we bring the positive strength of social interaction into our profession. Is there a way to use social networking to enhance our own learning. This session will expose you to a variety of ways educators around the world are developing their own these very techniques . Take a moment and learn about Diigo, Twitter, RSS, blogs, and networks that connect educators. You will enjoy sharing valuable resources and gaining valuable knowledge from other educators.
